New York native of Colombian decent, guitarist, lutenist and educator Daniel Moreno strives to uplift and influence others in a positive manner using music as a means of service through churches, libraries, schools, community centers, homes, and concert halls.

Daniel’s performances have taken him throughout North America and Europe and he is prizewinner of the Fellowship Award of the Lanciano International Guitar Festival 2024. He was on the faculty at New York Guitar Seminar at Mannes festival in 2024 and featured in concert performing works by esteemed composer Jaime Zenamon. . Other performances include Latino Mosaico: The Music of Latin America as part of the Festival Corde di Primavera 2025 in Rome, Italy, and Barcelona, Spain, The Young Musicians Forum Concert Series in New York, The Trenton Arts Concert Series at Princeton University and the Camino Artes Festival in Carriollon de los Condes. He has also performed in esteemed halls such as Opera America, The Morgan Library, New York City Ethical Society, and First Fridays at the Frick Collection.  He studied guitar and lute with William Zito, and Stephan Leonard; composition and guitar with Frederic Hand and Michael Newman.  He has performed in master classes with world class guitarists including Leo Brouwer, Sharon Isbin, Renee Izquierdo and Joao Luiz.

Daniel is faculty at Vienna Music School where he teaches private lessons, guitar ensemble, and music theory. In his continued effort to bring music and education to underprivileged communities Daniel has worked with the non profit organization El Circulo de La Hispanidad where he directs a guitar ensemble, and teaches group classes for beginners and adults.  Daniel earned his Bachelors Degree from Adelphi University and his graduate degree from Mannes College of Music at The New School.
